Description

A quick comfort bread.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-purpose Flour
  • ¼ cups Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 can (12 Oz. Size) Beer
  • ½ sticks Butter, Melted, Divided

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a 9 x 5 loaf pan.

Add flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt to a large bowl and whisk until combined. Add beer and stir until just combined.

Pour half the melted butter into a generously butter greased loaf pan. Add the batter, then pour the remaining melted butter on top of batter.

Bake for 50–60 minutes. The top should be brown and crispy and toothpick should come out clean when inserted into center of loaf.

Let sit for 5 minutes. Remove from pan and serve!

Notes:
• Optional add-ins include rosemary, cheese, oregano, garlic.
• Lemon lime soda can replace the beer.
