Description

I love the fall and anything that goes with it.

Ingredients

  • 2-½ cups Pumpkin Puree, Canned Pumpkin
  • 4 whole Eggs
  • ½ cups Vegetable Oil
  • ⅔ cups Water
  • 3-½ cups Flour
  • 3 cups Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoons Nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoons Ground Cloves
  • 8 ounces, weight Chopped Bittersweet Chocolate If Using

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350F.

Spray 2 loaf pans with no stick cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine pumpkin, eggs, oil, and water.

In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Gradually add flour mixture to pumpkin mixture, stirring until blended. Then, stir in chocolate if using at this point.

Pour batter evenly into prepared pans. Bake 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean. Cool in pans 15 minutes. Makes 2 loaves.
