Description

Also called “Pinch-me Bread”. I get lots of requests for this yummy baked goodness.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Broken Walnuts (not Chopped Too Finely)
  • 1 cup White Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons Cinnamon
  • 3 packages Pillsbury Refrigerator Biscuits (7.5oz)
  • ¼ cups Brown Sugar
  • 12 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350. Grease a tube/bundt pan. Sprinkle bottom with walnuts.

Mix white sugar and cinnamon. Remove 1/4 cup of cinnamon sugar mixture to use later in butter mixture.

Cut 30 refrigerator biscuits into quarters. (I use kitchen shears and it goes fast). Roll each piece into remaining cinnamon sugar and drop into the prepared pan.

Melt brown sugar, 1/4 cup of cinnamon sugar, and butter together. Stir while mixing to make sure the butter is well incorporated with the sugars (does that make any sense?).

Add 1-2 tsp of vanilla. Pour mixture over biscuits in pan and put in oven to bake for 30 minutes.

Invert pan onto plate immediately. Scoop up all the messy gooey goodness and put back on top.

mmm…I love clove also, but I’ve never tried it in this recipe – I’ll have to try it next time I make it. Thanks for the tip!

This was the first time (sadly) that I had ever made monkey bread. This recipe was so good that I made it twice in one weekend! Shhh…dont tell! I also added a little bit of clove in with the cinnamon and sugar but that is just because I am 100% obsessed with clove.

Great recipe! Thanks so much for sharing!

I’ll have to try the 4 cans!

You can’t go wrong with this recipe. My recipe is nearly exact except it uses 4 cans of the refrigerator rolls. It always bakes up nicely in the pan and comes out nicely, and is guaranteed to get wolfed down!
