This is seriously yummy and sweet cornbread. It’s the perfect balance to a hot and spicy main dish, but it’s also good enough to eat as a snack with a bit of butter. Enjoy!
1. Preheat oven to 375ºF.
2. Melt butter in large, oven-ready skillet. Remove from heat.
3. Stir in sugar and eggs. Whisk until blended.
4. Mix baking soda with buttermilk. Add to pan and whisk until blended.
5. Add cornmeal, flour, and salt. Whisk until well blended.
6. Bake in skillet for 30 to 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
