Description

This bread really was extremely simple to make. Just mix all ingredients for 60 seconds, scoop into a pan, let rise, and bake.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup (12 Ounces) Warm Water
  • 3 Tablespoons (1 1/4 Ounces) Olive Oil (plus Additional For Drizzling)
  • 1-¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 1-¾ cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1-¾ cup (8 3/4 Ounces) Hard White Wheat Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Instant Yeast
  • 1 Tablespoon Onion Powder (optional)
  • 1 Tablespoon Dried Chopped Onion (optional)
  • 2 Tablespoons Pizza Seasoning Or Dried Herbs Of Choice, Optional

Preparation

1. Lightly grease a 9″ x 13″ pan, and drizzle 1 to 2 tablespoons of olive oil in the bottom.

2. In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine all of the ingredients. Beat at medium-high speed for 60 seconds.

3. Scoop the sticky batter into the prepared pan. Cover and let it rise at room temperature for 60 minutes, till it’s become puffy. While the dough is rising, preheat the oven to 375°F.

4. Gently poke the dough all over with your index finger. Drizzle it lightly with olive oil, and sprinkle with pizza seasoning, and/or the dried herbs of your choice, if desired.

5. Bake the bread till it’s golden brown, about 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from the oven. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then turn it out of the pan onto a rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.

I have made this bread twice since I found your recipe and I love it! I was so afraid to try a bread recipe (I’ve been hurt in the past) but this was so easy and delish! Thanks!

Finally, after searching so very long for the perfect receipt I have found this!!!!! Thank you so very much. Our family loves this with shredded parmesan and cheddar sprinkled on the top for the last 4 minuets. Once again thank you for this delicious and simple receipt.

This bread was delicious…so much better than store bought and VERY easy. I will be making this anytime we need bread with pasta or soup! I only let it rise for 35 minutes and it turned out great!

I was skeptical….”no fuss” focaccia?? It is exactly that and delicious, too!! Will definitely make again. I, too, only used all-purpose flour and it turned out great. Sprinkle a little more olive oil on the top right after it comes out of the oven.

This has become our go-to bread when we need something fast and easy, especially if we’re having soup or pasta. We live in China, and can rarely find whole wheat flour, so I use all-purpose, but it rises up nice and fluffy and bakes up quickly. I usually sprinkle on Italian herbs and garlic salt. I’m sure it would be good with Parmesan or another cheese, as well, but I keep it simple. Great recipe!

I made this tonight as a sandwich bread for a pesto, mozzarella, tomato and bacon sandwich. I mixed the herbs and onion powder into the dough and drizzled the top with olive oil. Mine was pretty tough around the edges and not as tender inside as I was hoping for. Maybe my oven cooks fast?? I’ll definitely make it again…it had a great flavor and it was SO easy!

I made this with only all-purpose flour, as I didn’t have any wheat flour on hand, and sprinkled with Italian Seasoning. Hubby and daughter loved it. It really was simple to make. Will be making it again!
