Lightly sweet, whole wheat bites of bread with the licorice-like flavor of fennel seed, the perfect accompaniment for a cup of tea or coffee.
Preheat oven to 375ºF.
Combine all of the ingredients except for the whole fennel seed. Scoop heaping teaspoonfuls onto a baking stone or lightly greased baking sheet. Sprinkle the drops with whole fennel seeds. Bake for 15 minutes at 375ºF. Enjoy with a warm beverage.
Note: I did not have pre-ground fennel seed, so I just ground my own with a mortar and pedestal. I broke up the seeds but did not turn them purely to powder, and they worked just fine.
