Doesn’t get much simpler than that! This looks good, I will have to try it some time.

So easy to make and really good! I made this to go with Baked Potato Soup, and we dunked pieces into the soup. I used a can of PBR this time. A friend suggested trying an IPA next time. I think I am also going to try this with sharp cheddar because I really like the cheesy flavor. Will definitely make this again!

This is a rich, delicious bread that goes great with stew. I have made this both for guests at a dude ranch where I was pastry chef and also at home to go with elk stew. I use a combination of 6 oz. pepperjack and about 4 oz. cheddar, with Bud Light beer- classy & delicious : ) I ALWAYS make some honey butter to spread on this- makes it even better!
FYI- For self-rising flour, you can substitute 3 c self-rising flour with 3 c AP + 1.5 t salt + 1 T baking powder.
