Description

This is my husband’s favourite bread. I make it in the bread maker overnight so we wake up to the most amazing scents! Served this to friends and they loved it so much that they stayed an extra week!!

Ingredients

  • ¾ cups Warm Water
  • 2-¼ cups Strong White Bread Flour
  • 1 cup Wholemeal Flour
  • ½ Tablespoons Salt
  • 1 cup Grated Carrot
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • 2 Tablespoons Molasses
  • ¼ cups Natural Yogurt
  • ½ Tablespoons Quick Action Dry Yeast
  • ¼ cups Chopped Walnuts
  • ¼ cups Raisins

Preparation

Put all the ingredients in your breadmaker (except the raisins and walnuts) in the order that they appear. Switch on according to the instructions on your breadmaker. I usually set it to rapid bake.

If your breadmaker has a nut compartment, put the nuts and raisins in there. If not, wait until it’s at the kneading stage then add them in.

Enjoy!

Hello! I made this bread today, it turned out great and tasted great!! We almost ate half the loaf right away! I didn’t have any honey so I used Pure Maple Syrup instead. I am not a big fan of molasses, but I did use 1 Tbsp. I will definately be making this bread over and over again. Thanks for sharing this great recipe.
P.S. For other members: I used the grain cycle on my bread machine and the 2 pound loaf setting. Turned out great.

Made this yesterday and just had it toasted with creamed honey. It’s just right to go with my tea. I didn’t have nuts and subbed agave for honey just to use it up, and it was delish. Thanks for sharing. Jamie
