Description

In my opinion, the consistency of these imperfect discs recalls the Scottish Shortbread. They look like simple biscuits, even appearing deceptively ugly, dry, and tasteless. But instead, you’ll be surprised by the scent of lavender with butter, which will conquer even the most discerning palate: my daughter’s!

Ingredients

  • 3-⅝ ounces, weight Butter, Softened
  • 3-¼ ounces, weight Sugar
  • 5-⅓ ounces, weight Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Or Dried Lavender Flowers

Preparation

Preheat oven to 150°C.

Beat butter and sugar until mixture is light and creamy. Mix dry ingredients with lavender flowers and incorporate the butter mixture until you have a crumbly dough.

Form a roll with the dough and cut into disks with a thickness of 1.5 cm or form small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes in the middle rack.
