Description

Wonderful moist banana bread recipe from my best friend, Brenda! Freezes great! YUM!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Mashed Banana
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • ¼ cups Vegetable Oil
  • ½ cups Sour Cream
  • 2 whole Eggs, Beaten
  • 1-½ cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips (optional)
  • 1 cup Chopped Nuts (optional)

Preparation

In a large bowl, mix bananas, sugar, oil, sour cream and eggs together.

In a another bowl mix flour, baking powder and soda and salt.

Add the wet into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined – don’t over mix. Stir in chocolate chips or nuts if adding.

Place batter in a greased loaf pan and bake at 350F for 60-75 minutes, or until golden and toothpick comes out clean.

Cool in pan for 5 minutes then turn onto rack to cool completely!

Just made this as I had 3 very ripe bananas that I didn’t want to waste. I did add a touch of vanilla. It was very good, especially still warm with butter! I will definitely make this again.

Loved this recipe! The bread was moist and delicious. I added chocolate chips to it. My oven must run hot; it was done in about 35 minutes. I’ll make this again! :-)
