A simple and delicious treat for breakfast, dessert, or any time!
Mix ingredients together. Flour surface and roll dough onto the surface. Roll or pat to 1/4″ thick. Cut into shapes or strips. Heat about 1″ of oil in a frying pan. To test oil, drop a small piece of dough into the oil. It should puff up and fry pretty quickly ( a few seconds ) but not burn. When the oil is ready, place 3 to 4 pieces into the oil. Let them cook about 30 seconds, then with a slotted spoon flip them over. They should cook about 30 seconds on that side too, maybe a little longer. They will be a nice golden brown. Lift them out of the oil with the slotted spoon, and onto a paper towel to drain. When slightly cooled, add the toppings. Enjoy!

We call this ‘poori’ in India. No milk is added and we roll it thinner. we eat it with curry (but i like it with sugar!)

In Oklahoma, they top fry bread like a taco. They are so crave-able. This recipe looks so easy and is lard free!!!! This is something I am going to try.
