Description

Kale Chips from A Cozy Kitchen are super easy to make and are truly a guilt-free snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch Kale
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 dash Salt
  • 1 pinch Freshly Cracked Black Pepper

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Wash the kale thoroughly to remove any grit and pat with towels to remove the excess water. Rip the leaves of the kale away from the stems and discard the stems.

Lay the leaves out on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt and pepper. (I would start out light on the salt and pepper, you can always add more later.)

Bake the kale for about 20 minutes, or until crisp. Allow to cool and then transfer to a bowl. Enjoy your guilt-free snack all afternoon.

I love kale cooked any style, but this may just be my favorite!

These were good, but had a very strong kale flavor. If you’re not sure you like kale, I wouldn’t recommend this recipe. If you KNOW you like it, give it a go!

I was skeptical at first, but I soon found myself eating the whole bunch. Very easy!!

I liked how basic these were. They didn’t need any extra flavors at all! Many recipes have you cover up the flavor of the kale, but kale’s flavor has wonderful complexities on its own. A little salt (maybe a little pepper) is all you need!

The only thing I found is they toughened up a bit overnight. I tossed them back in a warm oven for 5 minutes and they crisped right back up this morning.
