Description

Crispy chicken with cheese wedged between 2 buttery mini buns! Great for party snacks and kids. A truly unique and delicious finger food—and ready in less than 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 container Pillsbury Refrigerated Biscuits (Grands Size, 4 Count Package)
  • 18 strips Prepared Frozen Breaded Chicken Strips (I Used Weaver Brand)
  • 8 slices American Cheese, Unwrapped
  • 16 whole Toothpicks

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Open the container of biscuits and separate them. Cut each biscuit into 8 pieces (so that you have 32 pieces total) and then roll each piece into a ball. Place onto a baking sheet and press down slightly so the bottom of each is flat (like a mini bun). When you put them onto the pan they should be about 1/2 inch apart.

Place chicken strips on another baking sheet, and put both into the oven.

Cook the mini buns for about ten minutes or until golden brown. Remove them from the oven and let them cool. The chicken can continue to cook as you perform the next steps. Typically the cook time for chicken strips is about 15-20 minutes total cooking time, but refer to your package instructions as a guideline.

Slide half of the mini buns onto a toothpick (one per toothpick), with the flat side facing the middle of the toothpick.

Slice each piece of American cheese into 9 equal-sized squares. Slide 2 squares onto the flat part of each mini bun.

Remove the chicken from the oven and let it cool. Slice the strips into a total of 32 squares (you’ll need 1-2 squares from each chicken strip, depending on the size of the strip). Slide two pieces onto the middle of the toothpick. Add two more squares of cheese.

Finally, add the remaining 16 mini buns! Serve with a selection of dipping condiments and you have the best finger food around!
