This pie is full of scrumptious creaminess and absolutely perfect for fall! I got the recipe this year from my college friend Jamie, and my husband and I love it! I apologize for the poor picture quality of the unbaked pie. My husband got so excited about eating it the last time I made it that I never got a picture of the baked pie before he cut into it!
Combine sugar, salt, and cornstarch. Toss lightly with apples until well coated.
In a separate bowl, combine syrup and cream. Pour over apple mixture. Mix well. Set aside.
Roll pie crust to 1/8 inch thickness and ease into a deep dish pie plate. Spoon filling into the shell.
Roll out the top of the pie crust and fit onto the filled pie. Cut vents for steam, brush with some milk and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 400 degrees for 50 minutes or until your crust is golden brown.
Note: It’s a GOOD IDEA to put some aluminum foil under your pie to protect your oven from overflow!

I made this last week and it was fantastic! I added a little cinnamon and it was perfect.
