Our preferred type of rice for this recipe is basmati, but I’ve also used other kinds. The method is the same for all, just adjust the amount of water if you need to.
Butter a large casserole dish. Place all ingredients in dish and gently stir.
Cover and bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours at about 300 degrees F.
It works well for me to stick this in the oven Sunday morning before church.
Make a “Lazy Fish Casserole” or “Chicken Stir-Fry Whip-up” to serve with the rice. See my TastyKitchen recipe box for both recipes.
