In a heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt the chocolate chips with condensed milk and salt. Remove from heat and then stir in vanilla. Spread evenly into a waxed-paper-lined 8 to 9-inch square pan. Chill for two hours or until firm.
Turn fudge onto a cutting board, peel off paper and cut into squares. Store covered in your refrigerator.
