This is an easy and tasty way to make leftover chicken disappear. Especially in early fall!
I get asked for my chili recipe quite often, and am almost embarrassed. It’s so easy, but I just can’t complicate it. Mix and heat all of the above ingredients in a pot over medium heat. I like my chili very meaty, but feel free to add more beans or chicken … or seasoning to suit your taste! Montreal Steak Seasoning is pretty much just coarsely ground salt, pepper and garlic. I like it in this form because it smells divine and the flecks of pepper look so darn good! This is very low in fat and really does not need anything else, but if you’re the type, feel free to add a little bacon grease or a spoonful or lard (can’t believe the word lard is in one of my recipes!) to add creaminess. If you use bacon grease, be sure not to over salt.
