I was never a fan of alfredo sauce until I came up with this garlicky version. Be careful not to cook too long after the cheese melts or it will resemble a tasty paste instead of a sauce.
Melt butter over low heat. Add garlic, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and stir well. Gradually blend in milk, stirring constantly. Add flour and stir until it thickens. Stir in Parmesan cheese, stir until cheese has melted. Stir in parsley. Serve over pasta.

Ha…I did leave it on to warm for a while and it turned into the tasty paste. But I added a little cream and it went back to normal.

Fantastic! I used heavy cream rather than milk and flour. It was delicious! I also prefer my Alfredo to be almost overwhelmingly garlicky.

This was very easy to make. It did wonderful in the spinach and chicken pasta I made last night.
