A coffee cake which is pudding-like in the middle, moist and more like butter cake than the traditional coffee cake.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix the first three ingredients (sugars and cinnamon) together. Spread half in the bottom of an 8×8 pan.
Mix the remaining ingredients together. Consistency will be that of very thick pudding. Spread in the pan and top with the rest of the sugar mixture.
Bake for 40 minutes. The middle will sink. Do not overbake. Assure those who eat it that yes, the middle seems unfinished, and yes it is pudding and not raw cake.
Note: I usually make this and then throw it in the fridge overnight. I will cut pieces and serve them, but leave leftovers in the fridge. It is reported that it is better cold. It is very dense and moist. Enjoy.
