My husband is the one who makes chili in our house, and he’s like a mad scientist about it. He never makes it the same way twice, but I don’t mind at all because it is ALWAYS delicious. This is the recipe that I make (you know, when he lets me make chili, which has recently been … NEVER!). This recipe is simple and yummy!
Heat oil in a large skillet. Cook the ground beef and garlic until meat is browned. Drain off any fat. Add the chili powder and cumin to the beef and garlic. Stir to coat. Mix the tomatoes, beans, onion, chiles, and tomato paste in the slow cooker. Then stir in the beef mixture. Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours. Garnish with oregano and serve!
