This is a quick and filling meal. For a dessert or snack, just drink half at one time. This is a high protein, and moderate fat beverage. As a perfect Keto drink, it would need a little more fat, or to be served with a high fat dish. Suitable for Atkins, Keto, LCHF, low carb, diabetic, low glycemic, gluten free, grain free, sugar free, nut free, coconut free. Also suitable for CKD, Low Potassium if you drink only half.
Get 1 large mug, or 2 smaller mugs ready.
Pour the protein drink into a small saucepan, and add the cream and the egg. Whisk well until completely homogenized and a consistent color throughout.
Heat on medium-low heat, whisking or stirring constantly until the mixture begins to steam and form bubbles around the edges. Immediately remove from heat. You don’t want it to boil.
Pour into mug(s) and garnish with a sprinkle of nutmeg.
Optional, add a dollop of sugar free whipped cream, or a splash of brandy, if desired.
Notes:
• I get no kickback for products used in my recipes. Brand names are included to assure more accurate nutritional estimates. Nutrition information is based on My Fitness Pal’s online recipe analyzer. The recipe is stored there and available to MFP users for logging in their food diaries. Sugar alcohols and liquid Sucralose are excluded from nutrition counts, as they are not absorbed by the body and rate zero on the glycemic index.
