Description
Not sure how it gots its name, but that’s what my Mamaw calls it. Maybe because everywhere she takes it, it’s a smash hit! 
Ingredients
- 1 box (18.25 Oz. Box) Yellow Cake Mix
- 1 whole Egg (for The Cake Mix)
- 1 stick Butter, Softened
- 1 cup Pecans, Chopped
- _____
- FOR THE TOPPING:
- 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
- 1 pound Powdered Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 2 whole Eggs, Beaten
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix 1 egg, cake mix and butter until it reaches dough consistency. Press into the bottom of a 9 x 13 glass dish that has been sprayed with Pam. Sprinkle pecans over the crust.
Combine topping ingredients until smooth. Spread over the top of the nuts. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Enjoy!

I leave off the pecans (although it sounds delicious, too) and we call it a Gooey Butter Cake. I just made one yesterday, too.
