This recipe is so simple, you can whip it up in a flash when the family needs a sweet treat to nosh. This is a Thanksgiving and Christmas necessity around our house. Careful though, it’s addictive!
Boil together the butter, sugar and corn syrup for 2 minutes to form a good syrup. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Dump all other ingredients into the syrup mixture and stir gently but thoroughly. Spoon onto waxed paper and let sit in a cool place (or overnight) to set up. Once cool, dive in!
Note: try to spread an even layer onto the waxed paper, spreading out large clumps. This will ensure you don’t get large pockets of syrup forming.
