Traditional cranberry sauce made thick and luxurious with brown sugar and Calvados (apple brandy).
Rinse and sort cranberries to remove any soft or spoiled berries. Combine all ingredients in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat. Bring just to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cook, stirring frequently, until sauce is reduced to a syrupy consistency and berries are soft. Cool for 10 minutes and serve.
