This candy is a tried-and-true! Quick, easy and amazingly yummy, all your holiday guests will love this. We usually make a few batches around Christmas—a few for us and a few for friends. Enjoy!
Line the Saltine crackers in a single layer on aluminum foil lined pans (place foil on the pans shiny side down). Shiny side down is important—it makes it easy at the end! Preheat oven to 400 F.
Put butter and sugar into a saucepan and heat over medium heat. Bring to a boil then lower heat and boil gently for 3 minutes. Spread the mixture over the crackers and bake at 400 F for 4-5 minutes.
Take pan out of the oven and re-align crackers if needed. Pour chocolate chips over the crackers and allow them to get very soft. Use a knife to spread chocolate evenly across the crackers then add pecans and sea salt on top.
Put toffee into the refrigerator for 3-4 hours. Once it is set, break it into pieces and serve!
