This no-bake Halloween bark is a tasty and fun recipe to make with kids. Perfect for Halloween gifting.
Line a large rimmed baking pan with wax paper and set aside.
Use a double boiler to melt the chocolate (or make your own double boiler by setting a heat safe bowl over the top of a pot of simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water). Pour the chocolate into the pan and allow it to melt gradually. Make sure to stir it frequently with a whisk and be patient as it melts. I poured just a small bit of milk into the chocolate to help smooth it out, however, this is not necessary. Remove from heat once melted.
Use a spatula and spread 75% of the melted chocolate onto your wax paper. Quickly sprinkle toppings over the chocolate then drizzle with remaining melted chocolate.
Let it cool completely prior to breaking into the bark. You can place it in the refrigerator or freezer to speed up this process. It takes about 10 minutes in the freezer. Break apart and serve, or store in an airtight container for up to a week.
