Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie from A Cozy Kitchen is an easy and decadent Thanksgiving dessert.
Mix together eggs, sugar, salt, honey or corn syrup, butter and vanilla. Stir in chopped pecans and chocolate chips. Pour mixture into pie shell. Place pecan halves on top, in any arrangement that you would like. Bake in a 425-degree oven for 15 minutes; reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue baking until top is lightly browned, about 30 minutes.
Hint: cut a ring out of foil to fit over the rim of the pie pan. When you turn the oven down to 350 degrees, place the foil ring over the edges of the pie crust to prevent over-browning.
(Adapted from a recipe by Beverly Kilpatrick.)

I just made this today and it was pretty good.. even hubby thought so too. It was quick and easy to make. I didn’t have butter so I substitute it with canola oil and it still came out fine. Will definitely make this again.

I made this for Thanksgiving dessert this year, solely based on the comments above. And oh, my stars . . . it was truly wonderful. A rich, decadent delight. I used Ghirardelli’s 60% cacao bittersweet chips and it took it to a whole different layer. Loved this recipe!

I made this pie on a whim last week and it was SO good. I don’t really like pie but something about this one struck me. I really enjoyed it and my mom’s boyfriend (who’s a dessert and chocolate fiend) ate half a pie himself. It was so good!

I made this pie for New Year’s Day dinner. It was delicious. Just the right mix of chocolate and pecans. It was very good. Will definitely make again.

I made this for Thanksgiving to take over to my parents house. It was a huge hit! Everyone loved it. Even those that really don’t like pecan pie. I’ve already received requests to make 4 for Christmas!
