Mildly spicy variation of a traditional Thanksgiving Turkey stuffing. It was given to me about 20 years ago by a sweet little old Portugese neighbor. I had to beg her for a few months until she would finally tell me how to make it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Melt butter in a large skillet. Then add the onion, celery, garlic, apple, and sausage. Fry until soft meat is browned.
Add giblets and salt, pepper and sage.
Put breadcrumbs in a large mixing bowl and add the hot ingredients. Stir together. Add the chicken stock.
Place into a baking dish and cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or according to your turkey cooking time if you are using it to stuff your bird. If you like crunchy parts, you can remove the foil halfway through.
Hope you like it!

Llc77 Roni passed away about 12 years ago and I’m sure that she is pleased that I still make her stuffing.
