Description

This pull-apart cinnamon monkey bread is so moist, delicious and easy to prepare It’s great served as an appetizer or snack. It’s like a giant pull-apart Cinnabun!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 2 cans Pillsbury Grands Homestyle Refrigerated Buttermilk Biscuits (16.3 Oz. Cans)
  • ½ cups Chopped Walnuts
  • ½ cups Raisins
  • 1 cup Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
  • ¾ cups Butter Or Margarine, Melted

Preparation

Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 12-cup fluted tube pan with shortening or cooking spray. In a large plastic storage food bag, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon.

Separate the biscuit dough into 16 biscuits and cut each into quarters. Put all of the quarters into the bag with the cinnamon and sugar and seal the bag. Shake the bag to coat everything. Arrange the pieces of dough in the pan, adding walnuts and raisins among the biscuit pieces.

In small bowl, mix brown sugar and butter and pour it over the biscuit pieces.

Bake for 28 to 32 minutes or until golden brown and no longer doughy in the center. Remove pan from oven and set it on a rack. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then turn the pan upside down onto a serving plate and remove the pan. Pull apart to serve. Serve warm.
