This is a nice, tangy cranberry sauce with lots of flavor. It also freezes well.
Wash and drain cranberries; set aside.
Combine all ingredients except cranberries in a large pan on the stove top and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes, then remove spices.
Add cranberries to the mixture and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes. Do not skim off the top froth, just stir it in.
Cool and serve.
