A great, super simple oatmeal recipe with lots of room for personal preferences. A good time-saver if you pre-package the dry ingredients.
Pre-measure the oats, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, chopped walnuts, and salt into a baggie. Label with the date and store for up to 3 months. When ready to cook this Good Morning Oatmeal, bring milk to a boil over medium heat. Stir in oatmeal packet and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in honey and vanilla and any other mix-ins you’d like.
Recipe is easily doubled for four servings.
If instant oats are desired, simply use instant oats and adjust liquid and times accordingly.

This oatmeal recipe is awesome! I’m not a huge oatmeal fan but know how nutritious it is. I made this recipe yesterday morning and couldn’t believe how delicious it is. I used pecans because I had them on hand and love them and may try adding dried cranberries next time. Honestly, this recipe is a great way to start the day.
