Apples slow-simmered in apple cider, honey, cloves and cinnamon, then pureed. This is the perfect topping for pumpkin waffles and pancakes or biscuits!
In a large pot simmer cider on stove top for 10 minutes until it starts to reduce. Add the apples, cover the pot and simmer for around one hour. Remove from heat, add in honey and spices and stir.
Add the mixture into a blender or food processor (or use an immersion blender right in the pot) and puree until smooth. Return the pureed mixture to the pot and cook on medium heat, stirring often until thickened, about 15-20 minutes.
