These would be the perfect cookies to make with kids on Christmas eve to set out for Santa! Not only are they cute and fun, but they’re absolutely delicious. A soft and chewy sugar cookie base with cream cheese frosting, white chocolate, chocolate chips, marshmallows and sprinkles!
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium sized bowl. Set aside.
In a large bowl cream together the butter and sugar. Beat in the egg, milk, and vanilla until combined. Beat in the flour mixture until it forms a dough.
Roll the dough into 2 tablespoon-sized balls and place them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet spacing them at least an inch apart. Flatten the balls slightly with the palm of your hand so they are round, then bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cookies are set.
Remove pan from the oven and after a minute or two put the cookies onto a cooling rack. Let cookies cool completely on a cooling rack before decorating.
Meanwhile in a medium sized bowl using a mixer, beat together all of the frosting ingredients.
Spread frosting onto each cookie then decorate as desired. I used red sprinkles for the hat, then added 2 chocolate chips right below the hat (for eyes) and half of a red M&M right below that for the nose. I added a miniature marshmallow at the very top of the hat and grated white chocolate below the nose to serve as the beard. See photo above or the related blog post for more details. Enjoy!
