A quick, filling, and for the most part, nutritious breakfast.
1. Bring flax cereal*, salt and 3 cups of water to a boil; cook for 2 minutes.
2. Add oats, cook for 1 more minute.
3. Stir in brown sugar, vanilla and maple syrup.
4. Remove from heat, stir in blueberries (frozen is fine).
Serve with a little milk and additional blueberries, if desired.
*If using plain ground flax, omit step 1. Cook oats for 1 minutes in 1 1/2 cups of boiling, salted water. Stir in flax, then additional ingredients.
