This is a recipe that I have made for many years at Christmas. Last year, due to blogging, I dropped some of my regular treats and tried some new things. Well, I was surprised how many people were disappointed not to get these. So, it’s a little late, (or VERY early) but these were made last Sunday for a friend and there were a few left over for snacking too!
In a double boiler melt the butterscotch chips. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat, add the peanuts and stir. Add the chow mien noodles, stir and crush down with a fork and mix well.
Scoop the mixture in 1 tablespoon sized portions onto cookie sheets that you’ve lined with wax paper.
Cool in the refrigerator. Store in airtight containers.

We’ve made these since 1963…so versatile, we’ve made them lots of different ways- even used jello to flavor and color white chips–no matter how you make them they’re always a hit. People can’t believe how good they are for being so simple. Do try these –you won’t be disappointed.
