It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving with out good ‘ol Candied Sweet Potatoes.
Peal and slice potatoes 1″ thick. Place in a glass 9×13″ baking dish. Fill pan with 1″ of water. Cover with foil and bake at 350ºF for 30 minutes just until fork tender.
To make the syrup, boil the water and add sugars and a pinch of salt. Simmer for 10 minutes on medium/ low heat. Remove from heat and let cool slightly, then add butter stir until melted.
Remove potatoes from oven and pour syrup over the top. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake for 20 minutes.
Tip: Getting everything done at the same time for your Thanksgiving meal can be a challenge. Bake these and make the syrup earlier. They’ll keep, then finish baking right before your meal.
