Sweet Potato Casserole with a kick!
Bake sweet potatoes at 350°F for one hour. They should pierce easily with a fork after an hour.
Remove the sweet potatoes from the oven and let them cool slightly. After they are cool enough to handle, cut them in half and peel them. Place the sweet potatoes in a large mixing bowl.
Mash the sweet potatoes slightly, then add milk, bourbon, cinnamon, brown sugar, butter, and pecans. Blend together with a mixer. Spread the mashed sweet potatoes into a buttered casserole dish.
For the topping, stir together the pecans, flour, and brown sugar. Melt the butter and pour it over the topping mixture, stirring until well combined. Spread the topping mixture over the sweet potatoes.
Bake the sweet potatoes for 40 minutes at 350°F.
