A fragrant cake that is best served warm.
Cream butter and sugar for 10 minutes. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each one. Gradually add flour and beat well, then add vanilla and 7-Up.
Spray pan with baking spray. Pour in batter and bake at 325 degrees for one hour and fifteen minutes. Cool about 10 minutes, then remove to a cake plate and drizzle with a vanilla glaze of powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk. Glaze will be thin and sort of soak in, and it will disappear just like this cake does at our house.
