I adapted this recipe from an apple dumpling recipe on Pillsbury. We had no apples on hand, so I used what I had — cherry pie filling. I also cut back on the sugar. It’s plenty sweet enough and you could even use less than 1/2 cup, I think.
Heat oven to 350F. Lightly grease a 13×9-inch glass baking dish.
Flatten biscuits with fingers. Drop 4-5 cherries with a bit of cherry “goop” in each biscuit. Top with a slice of cream cheese.
Combine sugar, water, melted butter, and vanilla; pour over dumplings.
Bake uncovered at 350F for 30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.

Do you fold over and seal or just leave the cherries and cream cheese on top?
