Description

Brownies with double the chocolate goodness by way of cocoa powder and chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups All-purpose Flour
  • ⅓ cups Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 cup Good Quality Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 stick Butter, Melted
  • 1 cup White Sugar
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cups Roughly Chopped Walnuts

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder; mix in the chocolate chips. Set aside.

In a separate bowl, pour in the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla and whisk just until combined. Whisk the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients just until combined; do not overmix.

Spread the batter into a lightly greased 8-inch square pan and sprinkle the top with walnuts.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into brownies comes out with a few crumbs. Let cool for about 15 minutes before cutting.

These were a huge hit last time, that I am currently making them again for my students!

These are baking right now! I think they are going to be great. I have made them for my students and I think they are really going to enjoy them. I left out the walnuts though, just in case any one is allergic.

These are so good! Easy recipe which is a bonus. I had a 9″ pan, so I only baked mine for 20 minutes. Will definitely make again.

These brownies are really good: moist and rich. We ate them from the fridge and they were fudgy and addictive. I’ll be making these again. I didn’t have quite a cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips in the cupboard, so I used probably closer to a 1/2 cup, I used a scant cup of sugar, and I subbed 1/2 of the cocoa powder with “dark” cocoa powder, because I had it on hand. Next time I’ll have them warm, with no nuts, and a giant scoop of vanilla ice cream.
