Gorgeous coffee “concentrate” to keep in your fridge: iced coffee whenever you’d like!
In a large container, mix ground coffee with water. Cover and allow to sit at room temperature twelve hours or overnight.
Line a fine mesh strainer with cheesecloth and set over a pitcher or other container. Pour coffee/water mixture through the strainer, allowing all liquid to run through. Discard grounds.
Place coffee liquid in the fridge and allow to cool. Use as needed.
To make iced coffee, pack a glass full of ice cubes. Fill glass 2/3 full with coffee liquid. Add healthy splash of half-and-half. Add 2-3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk (can use plain sugar instead) and stir to combine. Taste and adjust half-and-half and/or sweetened condensed milk as needed.

Awesome!
I don’t drink much coffee because of the caffeine – however this recipe will fit like a glove on my favorite coffee substitute Date Seed Coffee
It’s actually prepared similarly to coffee so I literally have to follow the recipe to the dot …. pour coffee and water mixture through the strainer, allowing all liquid to run through in order to discard grounds.
There are a few interesting date seed coffee makers on-line: http://dateseedcoffee.com
Would be interesting to try with other coffee alternatives.

I love your cold brew process. Yesterday I made 1-3/4 gallons of concentrate. That will last me a long time. After housework is done 4 the day, I sit down for a glass of ice coffee. So good. Easy to make & you can flavor it any way you want.

Just made this. Love it with the fat free condensed milk and fat free half and half. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe. What a money saver for me!

This is just fabulous! I am a coffee junkie and have tried making my own for years. Thank you Ree, I am thrilled to finally be able to make an iced coffee that is hands down better than Starbucks!!

So awesome! I am the mother of a 5 month old and sometimes things get too crazy for me to even have time to make my coffee. This is going to be in my fridge always… I pinned it on Pinterest too!
