A simple candy recipe that is made to replicate the famous Heavenly Hash at Crown Candy Kitchens in St. Louis, MO. One box is $18 at the store.
1. Spray a small, flat dish with cooking spray. Depending on how much candy you want to make you can use a small white corningware dish for 6 marshmallows or an 8×8″ glass pan for large quantities.
2. Melt the chocolate chips (I used Hershey’s milk chocolate) in the microwave or double boiler. If using the microwave, stir every 15-30 seconds and keep heating until the chocolate is melted.
3. Dip marshmallows in the melted chocolate one by one. Use a toothpick to stir them around and get them out. Place marshmallows flat side down into the sprayed dish.
4. When all 6 marshmallows have been coated, toss the chopped pecans into the chocolate to coat them. Spread them on top of the marshmallows with a spatula.
5. Cool in the fridge about 30 minutes. Depending on your tastes, allow to come to room temperature or eat cold, or don’t even put them in the fridge if you can’t wait that long.
Feel free to change the nuts, or change it from milk chocolate to dark chocolate, or double and triple the batch.
