Description

A twist on the no-bake classic Nilla Wafer banana pudding dessert. And just because “Banana Lasagna” is so much fun to say. Serves one teenage boy or 10-12 other people.

Ingredients

  • 1 pint Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 box Instant Banana Pudding (large Size)
  • 3 whole Bananas, Sliced
  • 1 box Nilla Wafers

Preparation

In a glass bowl, whip the whipping cream until stiff-ish. Stir in milk. Add instant pudding and stir until blended. Do not overstir.

Layer bottom of 9 x 9” baking dish (or something pretty about that size) with Nilla Wafers. For the next layer, add half of the pudding/whipped cream mixture. Next layer the sliced bananas. Repeat. Top with a layer of Nilla Wafers.

It’s ready to serve at this point, but it’s best if chilled for a couple of hours. The longer the chilling time, the better the Nilla Wafers become (softer).

I made this recipe the other day–it gets a big thumbs up–my husband loved it and I love it, too. The pudding/heavy cream combination is great. Happy Zombie you were right about how the vanilla wafers get sofer and more tasty in pudding! Thanks so much for a delicious dessert!!

I like how easy this recipe looks and I have never made a banana pudding adding whipping cream to the pudding, but I don’t think the complete recipe is there because it only states to layer 1/2 of pudding/whipped cream pudding mixture. I’m going to repeat layers. These instructions might confuse a novice cook though.
