This pound cake is so light but dense at the same time (does that even make sense?). Serve it with some strawberries and cream and you are set!
Cream together the butter, shortening, and sugar. Add eggs 1 at a time to the sugar mixture, mixing well after each egg. Add the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk and flavorings to the sugar mixture. Pour into a 12-cup greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 325ºF for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes then finish cooling on a cooling rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with strawberries and cream.
