Here’s a dessert for the new year. Low-cal, low-fat, and low-sugar! Don’t worry, you can always go back and use real ingredients later when you’re off your diet.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix the egg substitute, Splenda, salt, and vanilla together. Then, while whisking, slowly stream in the warm milk. Pour equal amounts into glass custard cups or ramekins and sprinkle with nutmeg.
The cups of custard then go into a baking dish. Pour boiling hot water into the pan around the cups, about halfway up the sides of the dish. Place in the oven and bake for about 40-50 minutes or until the custards are set. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before eating.
