Description

These Garlic Noodles tossed with parmesan are the perfect pairing to seafood such as Garlic Crab and Prawns.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Spaghetti Noodles (or Chow Mein Noodles If Available)
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 4 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Garlic, Minced
  • ½ Tablespoons Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Maggi Seasoning
  • ⅓ cups Grated Parmesan Cheese

Preparation

Cook spaghetti noodles (or chow mein) according to the direction on the package. Drain the noodles, reserving a few tablespoons of the starchy water.

In a large sauté pan, melt the butter and olive oil. Add the garlic and sauté until aromatic but not browned, approximately 2-3 minutes. Add the sugar and Maggi. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Remove the pan from the heat and quickly toss the noodles into the mixture.

Add the cheese and toss the noodles ensuring that it is thoroughly covered. You may add a tablespoon of the pasta water as needed to loosen the pasta. Serve immediately.

@sparkylarky—LOL! I should have definitely included a breath mint in the recipe!

I made this last night with the Garlic crab. I couldn’t find the right Maggi so I used those knorr chicken bouilon cubes and it was delicious!

I made these for dinner tonight as a side dish to Salsa Chicken and green beans. Oh were these noodles GOOD! I used Tagliateli noodles and will make these over and over again. Thanks for the great recipe.
