Description

If you are ever looking for a tasty alternative to French fries, look no more. Butternut squash does the trick and these are EXCELLENT!

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Butternut Squash
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • ½ teaspoons Sea Salt

Preparation

With a very sharp knife, cut away the outer layer of the butternut squash. Cut in half lengthwise and then cut that piece in half. Start to cut in French fry shapes.

Preheat oven to 425F.

Lay the fries on a baking sheet. Drizzle the olive oil over the fries and sprinkle with salt. Bake for 35-40 minutes and turn fries over halfway through the baking. During the last 2 minutes of baking, you can broil the fries to make them a little browner.

Serve with ketchup.

These were so incredibly easy and tasty! I wished I had made more and so did my family. They were good both plain and with ketchup. I only used 1 tablespoon of oil, and they turned out fine.
