Separate carrots from green stems and wash well.
In a medium pan over medium-high heat, add 1/4 tablespoon of butter and a pinch of salt and pepper. Saute greens for 2 minutes until just wilted. Set aside.
In the same pan, add remaining butter and brown sugar. Once melted, place the carrots in a single layer in the pan and gently toss to coat with the butter and sugar mixture. Saute carrots for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and starting to caramelize.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper and transfer to a plate with the wilted greens.
