1. Wash, dry and chop romaine lettuce. Place into a salad bowl.
2. Top with red cabbage, carrots and sliced radishes.
3. In a frying pan on medium high heat, roast slivered almonds for 2 minutes to bring out their flavor.
4. Top salad with roasted slivered almonds and sections of mini honey Mandarin oranges.
5. Drizzle with cool balsamic reduction dressing.
To prepare balsamic reduction, pour balsamic vinegar into frying pan and reduce to half on medium high heat while frequently whisking it. Add brown sugar and whisk until sugar is melted. When balsamic vinegar and sugar reach syrup-like consistency, remove from heat and cool.
