Double Dark Chocolate Zucchini Cake

by katielouise1 and filed in Cakes, Desserts

This recipe is a great way to get rid of some excess zucchini and/or summer squash. I use Special Dark cocoa powder and chips to make this cake extra chocolaty.

This has been my birthday cake [even though it's not cake] every year since my 5th birthday. I can’t get enough of it! The sweet-salty combination is sure to please any palate!

Lemon Pie

by jenpenm and filed in Desserts, Pies

Flaky crust, cream cheese and Cool Whip filling, lemon curd topping… Sweet, slightly tart, delicious. This is my absolute favorite pie in the entire world. I love Baker’s Square Lemon Supreme Pie, I go wild for it. Unfortunately, I cannot find a Baker’s Square restaurant anywhere. So, I decided to make a copycat recipe.

Stuffed Sun-dried Tomato, Feta, and Mushroom Chicken

by Rox and filed in Main Courses, Poultry

This dish is one that you can make when you have a small group of guests coming over or for a nice hearty meal to share with your loved ones. Sun-dried tomatoes make everything taste great, add a little garlic and white wine and you’ll start to have the beginnings of a great meal. This dish is one you’ll want to make time and time again and so will your family and friends. I started thinking about what I could do with chicken breasts. I knew I felt like eating mashed potatoes, so I started with that and then developed this recipe with ingredients I had in the fridge

Brown Butter, Bacon & Chocolate Chip Cookies

by tnlocavore and filed in Cookies, Desserts

Some may say this is gilding the lily, but I say they’re awesome! 3 kinds of chocolate are combined with brown butter & bacon. People think these are weird until the taste them. Then they want to marry me. The strong caramel overtones of the browned butter combine perfectly with the smokiness and saltiness of the bacon & the chocolaty creaminess of the different kinds of chocolate. Inspired by a Cks Illustrated recipe.

Biscuits for Dummies

by Frank and filed in Biscuits and Scones, Breads

This is an old recipe for whipping cream biscuits. So easy and with only two ingredients and no rolling out the dough, biscuits don’t get any easier than this!

Chocolate Revel Bars

by bncampbell and filed in Brownies and Bars, Desserts

Have you not heard of them? Don’t worry, I hadn’t either. But the ingredients seemed like a good combination. Oatmeal. Butter. Brown sugar. Chocolate. Sweetened condensed milk. Pecans. That could work.
